OnePlus One has definitely made an impact in the Indian smartphone market with its high end features and the reasonably positioned price tag. People across the nation have been trying hard to get their hand on the invites for the OnePlus One device. According to the latest round of rumours, the OnePlus Two could be reaching India on 17th April.
This may be sooner than you think, but there have been confirmations which say that India is one of the two countries where the device would be launched initially. The timeline for the release of the smartphone has not been confirmed by the company as of now.
The OnePlus Two device has been listed on the website of the Chinese retailer Geek Buying, where it has expressed that the device could be launched on 17th April. However, no design or specs have been revealed for the smartphone as of now. If the information provided by geekbuying.com could be considered as authentic, then the OnePlus Two could come with a 5.5-inch 1080p display with Snapdragon 805 soC.
The camera on this device is said to have a 16MP primary camera and a 5MP front camera. There is a high probability that the device would come with Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box and would sport a 3GB RAM. All of this indicate that the device is capable of delivering high performance (just like its predecessor).
Carl Pei (founder of OnePlus) had announced in January that it could take well up to 6 months for OnePlus Two to hit the market. He said, “The OnePlus One has been selling pretty well across the world. In addition to the launch countries, it was launched in India late last year, and despite of initial hiccups involving Cyanogen and Micromax, OnePlus One has managed to do pretty well. Just a couple of days back, it was launched in 16 more countries in Europe.”
All the leaked images are currently sporting a “cyanogen” logo which might indicate that the new variant would have cyanogen mode OS. It would be a safe bet to await confirmation from the company about the features and specs of the new smartphone. OnePlus is coming out with an OS of its own (called the Oxygen OS) which would be based on the Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system. The actual device would be really interesting to check out. Till then, we can only speculate in amidst market rumours and leaks.
