Micromax leading its way with 100% “Make in India” plans

Micromax has expanded its focus to PCs, LED TVs and laptops and aims to serve in every consumer electronic product. Micromax, at its event yesterday in Gurgaon, announced a complete overhaul of its market strategies to gain back the market share. At the event, 19 products were introduced out of which 15 were smartphones. The company also unveiled its new logo with a new philosophy of ‘Nuts: Guts: Glory’ which intends to decrease the dependency on imports and increase the domestic production.  The new Canvas 6 and Canvas 6 Pro were the highlight of the event. The e-commerce giant Amazon has launched the new ‘Kindle Oasis’ on Wednesday which equipped with longer battery life and weighs less the than the previous generation. It’s the eighth and slimmest device in the series with a build in charger in its cover. The new Kindle, at a price of Rs. 23,999, will be the most expensive in the range. The new consumer technology start-up, Creo, launched a new smartphone called Mark 1 at its event in New Delhi. This device has been in talks since a couple of months as the company claims to transform the device every month in terms of monthly OS updates. The world’s first cloud-based smartphone, the Nextbit Robin, began shipping globally last year. Finally, the phone is officially launching in India by the end of April. The company has not announced any exact launch date for the smartphone in India as of now. The device was launched in US for $399 (Rs. 26,000) and is supposed to cost an additional Rs. 4,600 to ship to India. Idea cellular services announced the launch of its high speed 4G LTE service in Goa, this Wednesday. The service has been launched across 10 major towns of Goa. Idea is expanding its services rapidly, and claims to extend its 4G LTE services to an additional 50 towns/ suburbs in Goa by the end of April.
