Most awaited , Google has definitely raised the expectations of the fans after the release of NEXUS 5.6 is greatly eyed and people are hugely awaiting the “big release” of this year.
With the sweetest Android version 5, it is going to be a heart throb. A huge screen and a powerful camera, it’s just a more of everything.
With just few days before its launch, the wait is finally going to be over. Google, now with Motorola has a lot to offer. A 6 inch 2K display, powerful processor and better speakers are the jackpots. So lets see what is the big buzz all about!
Display: The 2K display is a delight and the 6 inch HD screen just offers the best clarity. Play videos , read online with an experience , quite pleasing. The Gorilla glass 3 is your shield that keeps the device scratch proof . Water resistant gives it a ten on ten.
Design: Smarter and sleeker, the dimensions 159.3 x 83 x 10.1 mm speak for its compact design. The looks are stunning though not much of a change is actually seen. The edges are round with a stylish camera on the back. The engraved logo of nexus on the sophisticated back panel makes it all the more elegant. There are not many colours on the palette ,a launch only in white and black.
Storage: Two variants of 32 and 64GB are quite classic . But what’s disappointing is the lack of secondary storage. Yes, 32GB is good enough but when competitors are offering expandable memory as large as 128GB , it looks a little less. A RAM of 3 GB is definitely a heads-up.
Speakers: It is a highlighted one , so definitely needs some extra attention. The dual speakers in the front give an epitome experience of audio for the movies and games. You can do all the music parties with the boom boom stereo speakers.
Battery: A 3220 mAh battery is just good. Its not a very big number for the price it is about to cost. But its no less providing you a full usage of 24 hours with 100% battery. The battery is quite smart that gives you 6 hours of usage for 15 minutes of charging. This is remarkable. So even if you get up late, you can do the working with less of charging.
Camera: Epic shots from a 13 MP snapper, is what google vouches. Don’t get diverted by the low pixels, with advanced computational photography technology and HDR+, the Google camera does all the heavy work to give you the best shots even in low light. The front camera is quite disappointing, with a 2MP it is quite a turn off for the people following the “#selfiepullacraze”. Autofocus, optical image stabilisation can do some of the compensation.
OS: It is going to be the first release with the Android version 5, Lollipop. One of the major drivers for its popularity is the simultaneous release of the new android OS which is the sweetest. It is an arrow aimed at two shots, a win-win by the new OS and the new device one complementing the other.
Processor: The Quad core 2.7 GHz is the powerhouse. With faster processing speeds all the apps run without any glitches. An Octa core was quite an expectation which is now ruined. The Adreno GPU still gives you the best graphical experience.
Conclusion: The device overall has a lot of pluses that weigh out the negatives.A few more detailing with the camera and battery could have made the device irresistible. Still the specs are on the roll, the OS and the display being the most talked about. Its is going to be a deal worth 40000 INR. The cost seems a little more for the features offered. But the hype and marketing strategy that Google has followed can be quite favourable for it.
